What people are saying in e-mails to web site:

"What a pair of Mayors, publicly they appear to be enemies but in private they seem to be communicating well and running their own personal agendas."   S.R., Bridgeport

"Hey Mr. Burns tell us who paid you to knock the carousel and bumper car buildings down. They say you did them a favor by not charging? Who's the "them?"   R.L., Fairfield

"Mayor Finch you call the Pleasure Beach buildings "carny." Guess what?: You are "morto carne" next election -- as in dead meat!"   J.R., Waterbury

"I am told Bridgeport screwed up royally during the Ganim years. Even before the Pleasure Beach bridge fire, the city was offered a brand new bridge with a $23 million grant from the Department of Transportation. The city didn't show enough of an interest, and found fault with the plan. Guess what. They blew the deal and the DOT spent that money elsewhere."  T.H., Bridgeport

"The Bridgeport Fire Department official that ordered the knock down of the carousel must be having some sleepless nights. Or, probably not -- the mayor owes him one."   G.P., Shelton

"Does the Park Board Committee give a damn about our city parks? They surely know what's going on with the sinking of Pleasure Beach. Do they care? Are they under Finch's thumb like a mess of other city departments?"   P.F., Bridgeport

"I am really pissed about the abandoning of Pleasure Beach. Future generations will kick our ass for dropping the ball on restoring this great beach and park."  C.M., Sarasota

"The FBI should investigate the demolition story. Mayor Finch and the Fire Chief need to be arrested and sent to jail. Enough is enough for the people of Bridgeport. Many residents support going back to 2 years terms for mayors of Bridgeport.  Perhaps a great idea for a referendum?"   H.S., Bridgeport

"What's the freaking story on the removal of the destroyed buildings at Pleasure Beach? Will there be more demolitions on other buildings like the Polka Dot Playhouse? What the hell is happening in the Park City? Atta' go mayor! Knock 'em down and plan to build new. And what is new? Nothing, just politics as usual."  A.M., Bridgeport

"I guess you have to be over sixty something to remember the good old days in Bridgeport-By-The-Sea. The new generations don't even understand. There is more to life than i-Pods, cell phones and Twitter. Find grandpa's fishing pole in the attic and experience some serenity in your life."   N.W., Stratford

"Is the Pleasure Beach Park illegal demolition of two historic structures forgotten already?"   L.C., Stratford
